On gear: How I became an avid Fuji X photographer

About my path to the perfect camera I possess now. And about how such a thing doesn’t exist and actually possesses me.

I think it’s only fair to warn anyone that should want to read this. It was my intention to write a few words about how my interest for photography grew over the years into the passion that it is now. It became a rather long text. I can easily give you the short version: over the years I bought many cameras and lenses. And I’ll probably keep going down this road in the future. I’m afraid it’s a prime example of GAS. In Belgium GAS stands for some idiotic municipal sanctions. But that’s a whole different story. NASA, Black Marble, United States.

The only photos I’ll probably be taking today will be some blurry images through an airplane window. So I would like to present a photo that’s taken from a bit higher. I find these Black Marble photos that NASA released a few weeks back so fascinating. I found out about these photos on PetaPixel and I can keep staring at them endlessly.  Believe it or not, NASA has a Flickr account with many more photos to stare at.
